We provide high-quality speech, language, and literacy services to children of all ages and abilities. Whether your child uses gestures, a speech-generating device, or verbal speech, we can help them communicate with confidence! Our speech therapy sessions are fun, motivating, and tailored to your family’s individual needs. We encourage parents to get involved in sessions and invest time into teaching you strategies that you can use while interacting with your child.
My Way With Words is proud to be a direct pay provider for the Family Empowerment Scholarship for Students with Unique Abilities (FES-UA) through Step Up for Students. This is formerly known as the Gardiner Scholarship. Our speech and language therapy services are covered by the scholarship for children in the Miami, Florida area or online anywhere in Florida!

Meet Dani Kaplan, M.S., CCC-SLP
Owner, Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist
I am a pediatric speech therapist with nearly 10 years of experience working with children of all ages and abilities. I worked as a speech-language pathology assistant before earning my master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Nova Southeastern University. Since then, I have gained clinical experience in early intervention, private practice setting, teletherapy, public and charter schools, and a Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care (PPEC) hospital.

I started my private practice to provide specialized services to children while building rich relationships with their families. I care wholeheartedly about every family that I work with and I value the contribution that parents can make in the therapy process. It is such a joy to share in the excitement when a child communicates something new, and I love getting text messages throughout the week, like "J said 'bubbles' today!"

Getting Started

Give us a call! We will discuss any concerns you may have about your child's communication skills and answer your questions. Based on our discussion, we will determine whether an evaluation would be the appropriate next step.

We will begin with a speech and/or language evaluation. Using a variety of assessment tools, we will develop a comprehensive understanding of your child's communication skills. Then, we will recommend goals and the amount of therapy per week that would be beneficial for your child. A written evaluation report will be provided to you.

Therapy sessions will begin in your preferred setting, whether that is at home, daycare, preschool, or online. Data will be collected during sessions to ensure progress is being made. We will also provide you with strategies to help your child communicate and grow between therapy sessions.

We provide in-person therapy sessions to Miami families at home, daycare, or preschool. Mobile speech therapy services are convenient and allow various adults in your child’s life to participate in sessions—including you and your child’s teachers! We also serve families outside of our locale via teletherapy, in FL, OR, and AR.
Speech therapy should work around your life, not the other way around.
